While she could have grown up to be a proper lady who sang, had perfect manners and was married off to the perfect gentleman she realised at a young age she didn't want that life and was determined to get the life that she wanted for herself. Lil hates saying no and backing down from a situation and while she has a big heart she doesn't give her trust and loyalty easily and you have to really impress her to get it but when you do get it, you have it for life. Even if she might be incredibly rude, she believes in equality for everyone and will give people a chance. She wishes she could fix the world and make everyone get along but she knows that won't happen so being realistic she just focuses on making herself happy as well as the few people she truly cares about. She's a hardworker and is dedicated to her job and the crew of the ship she serves upon. Her Captain is one of the few people she will willingly take orders from (not because she knows she'd be punished if she didn't as she isn't scared of being punished but because she truly respects him and all that he does. Most of all though, Lil wants to be able to be the person she wants without people judging her or telling her what to do and with the pirates she can be just that HISTORY Lilyanne was born to a rich family and for the first few years of her life (until she was ten) she was raised to be a lady - she learned how to play the piano, sew and sing to the best of her abilities. Unfortunately she hated this life of hers and tried to rebel against it more times than could be counted. Her parents hated her, her teachers hated her and she hated them. More often than not she would just go off and do her own thing resulting in numerous punishments - which she didn't go to and just go punished for that ending up in a never ending cycle. She made her first friend at the age of eight, a homeless boy who lived in one of the dirtiest, unsafest parts of London but she found that she learned a lot from him - namely how to survive on the streets and how life really was for the majority of people who lived in London. She was disgusted at it, with her family living as they did when so many people obviously needed a lot of help. When she brought it up with her family and governess she was told 'That's just the way the world is' which disgusted her even more. By the time she turned ten she had enough of her life and ran away for real this time. She left in the middle of the night and made her way to the place where her friend lived and convinced him to come with her - she wasn't dumb enough to do this by herself. From there the two of them made their way to Fortunas a town close to London which seemed like a world of it's own. The two of them lived on the streets and in the poorhouse for awhile before, by chance they came across a pirate ship which took them on board. Between her life on the ship and with her friend, Lil is nothing like she was back home. She wears pants and shirts all the time, drinks and swears like no tomorrow. She also broke her parents first rule about no sex before marriage when she was thirteen. She has found over the years that she enjoys working on the Pirate Ship and has made a lot of friends. Given her small stature which she usually hates, she finds her job as the lookout quite rewarding and is actually quite good at it which they appreciate. While she is fully aware that the tensions between different fractions and the natives are high, she is enjoying her life now that she is out of London and the clutches of her family.
