FULL NAME: Lucius Abraxas Malfoy

PERSONALITY: Lucius is considered to be a cold and aloof by many people, as he acts as a stereotypical, snobbish pureblood while in public. While around people he likes and trusts, he is a lot more relaxed even though he still upholds the standards he was raised with. He looks down on people who are of lower status than him and only accepts other purebloods of high standing in his social circles - when he has the choice of course. He doesn't have many friends though the few he does he is extremely close to but he does have many acquaintances. He does consider the elder of the Lestrange brothers to be a friend, along with a few other Slytherin wizards from his year. While he loves his family, no one outside them knows this because he believes it to be a weakness and because he is afraid of his rivals using it against him. He can be angered quickly, especially when he doesn't get his way, but he has learned to control it enough that people who do not know him well do not realise he is angry- the majority of time.
Lucius does not like hearing other people's points of view, especially when he knows that they can argue their point and make him look like a fool. He has always believed in blood superiority and always will- one does not change their way of think so easily. This prejudice goes hand in hand with his vanity. He takes pride in the way he looks and will never go anywhere without looking the best that he can- every hair in place, his robes the latest fashions and perfectly in place without a single crease in them. He refuses to look anything but the best of the best and isn't afraid to spend the money to show this.
Lucius is also driven by his ambitions to succeed and become the best that he can be. This mainly relates to things to do with purebloods- he wants to show that purebloods are the best, he wants to help win the war, he wants his family to be safe, he wants to be a trusted confident of the minister of magic. He wants to show people that he is better than them. His marriage to Narcissa original began as a way to show that he was a worthy Pureblood to marry into the House of Black, one of the most notable Pureblood families. Along with this is his ability to lie convincingly that helps him be able to get people to what he wants them to do. If he doesn't like something, he can make out that he loves it, he can make out that his beliefs are one thing when they aren't. Though a lot of people believe that they know him, they actually don't.
Not one to talk unless he absolutely has to, Lucius places a lot of value on the words said. A lot of people can consider him rather shy on occasion- if they didnt' know him that is. He has learned not to say much as it can be often misinterpreted and used against him, which he fears a lot especially after the end of the war. He has never been one for loud gatherings or inane chatter, finding that they give him a headache quite easily which will often turn into a migraine. This means that when he is at home and not spending a quite evening with his family he is often in his study either working or reading.
When Lucius is annoyed you will find that he can anger quickly and can become determined to hurt the other person. He is often thought of as a cruel person, especially given his love for the Dark Arts. When angered he won't hesitate to curse, belittle or torture someone depending on the situation, and if he can get away with it. He will also attempt manipulate them emotionally and mentally into changing their minds and going along with what he wants. This can result in him being cruel and sharp to his family and friends if they aren't living up to his expectations. He wants his family to succeed, especially his son.

THEIR RELATIONSHIP: Abraxas and Astra get on well enough despite it being an arranged marriage. They grew up together knowing that they would one day have to marry so they tried their hardest to become friends which they did though they never fell in love with one another.
SIBLINGS: Acantha (twin sister)
FAMILY DYNAMICS: The Malfoy family get on quite well. Their parents are strict and slightly old fashioned but they love their children and want what is best for them. Lucius and Acantha get on quite well growing up together and rely on each other for a lot of things. Lucius considers her his best friend and trusts her with his life.
PERSONAL HISTORY: Lucius and Acantha Malfoy were born on August 13 1954 to Astra and Abraxas Malfoy with Acantha being 15 minutes older than Lucius though he was the heir to the family as the only son. While he was growing up they were trained to be the perfect pureblood children as well as many spells, curses and hexes. He excelled at the darker spells which he started to learn at the age of seven. Even at such a young age he gave off an air that showed he was proud and proper young man who should not be trifled with. Often described as distant, cold and a perfectionist he was the proper Pureblood heir. He interacted with other Pureblood's who were of the same status of him that were carefully chosen by his parents though he only came to call a couple of them friends.
When he wasn't learning, Lucius spent a lot of his time with Acantha who he considered his best friend and despite being younger than her he looked out for her and made sure she was safe. Growing up together they did everything together and though they occasionally had their fights they got on reasonably well. As they grew up they became each other confidants and knew theo the other wouldn't betray their secrets no matter what.
By the time he started school he was well adapted to magic and could perform many of the simple spells up to the end of his third year. He would have liked to have been able to perform more but his parents had decided they didn't want him completely consumed by his studies as a young child. While he was at school he was a top student and bane of many Gryffindor's and Hufflepuff's existence. He excelled at Potions and Charms though he did quite well in all of his subjects. Throughout his early years at Hogwarts he was renowned for his temper if you pissed him off or hurt his sister in anyway. He was a favourite of Professor Slughorn along with the elder Lestrange and a few other members of his year who he hung around with.
In his second year he tried out for the Slytherin Quidditch team and became chaser on it a position he has held ever since and he became Captain of it in his sixth year. In his third year he also met Narcissa Black, the youngest sister of two of his friends. She was an annoying whiny bitch but she was absolutely stunning when it came to her looks. Lucius hated her personality wise but he couldn't help but develop a strong attraction to her. He hated this as he can't stand her and unfortunately as the years have progressed it hasn't disappear like he had hoped it would but in fact got stronger. Soon nearly all of his thoughts were of her in a sexual nature. He was obsessed with her. None of them were pleasant though, he wanted to bring her down and hurt her though none of it bordered on Rape. He would not sink that low.
When he came home from his fourth year his parents informed him that they had arrnaged a marriage with Andromeda Black. Despite being a Hufflepuff she was a Black and they were a powerful family so his parents were willing to look over her house in the hopes that she would still do what was right. Lucisu didn't lik that- Andromeda was a nice enough person from what he saw but he didn't get on all that well with her, he knew better than to argue with his parents about it though.
At the end of his fifth year he received O's in Charms, Potions, Defence and Transfiguration and E's in Ancient Runes, Arithmacy, History of Magic and Herbology when he sat his OWLs. During his years at Hogwarts he remained friends with Rodolphus Lestrange as well as being friendly with Bellatrix Black and a select few others in his house though his sister was always his best friend. He has also had a few 'girlfriends' but nothing ever came from them and most of it was just a way to release the sexual tension he was feeling at the time.
APPEARANCE: He is reasonably tall coming in at a good 6' 2" and is slim but not overly so. His hair is a pale blond, almost white and comes down the bottom of his chin though he is slowly growing it out. His eyes are a grey colour and have often been described as cold looking which suits his whole personality. He carries a black cane with a silver snake head on it which he carries his wand around in so it is always on him. His clothes are the latest fashion and always look immaculate as he has to have and look the best of the best as that is what he is. The only people he view as better or as close as him to his status are his wife and son. He has also started to occasionally wearing glasses for reading though he likes to pretend that he doesn't need them.
