Each character, as they arrive through the Stargate are greeted by a member of security and are then transported to the secure facility where they shall be staying. They are done so blindfolded so they do not learn of where they are, anything that might be kept secret etc. The security member explains that they do not know why they are here and they are working on returning them to their home but in the time being they will be kept in a secure facility for their safety. They mustn't try to escape as they have no idea what will happen. The facility has everything that they need.
2. Where are they given?
The security member who explains what is happening to them will also provide them with some basic items: - $100 - Basic clothing - A key to the room where they will be staying - A phone and laptop that has been set up to only access the network that has been built for them and an email account which will take place in theirname@secure.com. The phone also has text and call capabilities.
3. What facilities are there?
The facility where they are being kept is essentially a small town, it has everything they need. The housing takes place in an apartment building which has a courtyard in the centre of it. In the courtyard there are barbeques, a swimming pool, park benches etc. Opposite the apartments is the shopping area that has all the basic stores - food, clothing etc.
4. Who can I play?
We will allow nearly any fandom a part from the Stargate's as this game is set in their home world, they would not be living in the secure facility. The mods, if need be will play them for plot purposes though.
5. Can my character leave?
Unfortunately not. The secure facility is surrounded by an electric fence which is impossible to scale or climb under. They are stuck here 'for their own safety'.
6. How does time work here?
Time runs in real time therefore Jan 1 2012 = Jan 1 2012 in game.
7. What happens if my pb is already in use?
Use them! You are more than welcome to double up on PBs.
8. Do I need to know the Stargate Universe?
No, it isn't necessary. Yes it's helpful but you don't have to, the Stargate is just the 'magic' used to bring everyone together to make the game happen.
