Personality: Outwardly Sam is a friendly guy who holds a lot of secrets. Always willing to talk to people he can carry on a conversation with pretty much anyone- but he won't tell details about himself. No matter what the circumstances are. Sam has the personality that makes everyone like him no matter what and he puts it to good use. He will talk to people and befriend them and slowly gain their confidence as he knows that it might come in handy at a later point but he never says anything about himself to them. While at first people find this annoying they seem to grow to accept it over time.

Growing up he had a bit of a rough childhood after being adopted and then abandoned by his adoptive parents at a young age after his ability to shape-shift manifested itself. Because it is this that made them abandon him he has learnt to keep secrets scared he will be discriminated against by non-shifters- even if there are plenty of other shifter's around who accept him for who and what he is. This secretive side of his personality has spread to his whole life and everything to do with it. Perhaps because if he mentions his childhood he'd have to explain all of it but he has just grown used to not speaking about himself to anyone. Very few people know what he truly is and those that do are generally accepting of him some don't but they are usually against shifter's in general.

Despite his secretive nature, Sam is a loyal person who wouldn't betray his friends (even if he isn't entirely honest with them)as he values people liking him for who he is too much. He always makes sure they are safe and happy putting them before himself all the time.

Writing Sample: Sam looked over the customers at the bar and grinned slightly. Even with his parents lessons while he was growing up and his own experiences it was hard to imagine a place like Caligland where the Supernatural lived publicly- even the Royal family were Vampires and had Werewolves for councilors. It was public knowledge and that was the most surprising thing. It was so different to Earth where they were hidden from public knowledge- though Vampires had 'come out of the coffin' as they termed it a couple of years ago. None the less they still weren't widely accepted there and none of the other races had plans to do the same. They were content living without the knowledge of Humans. Here it was the opposite though. The Supernatural races tended to rule over the humans. He liked that in some ways though it still seemed strange some of the time. Sam was growing used to it though.

Seeing a new patron, Sam could tell it was a werewolf and felt comfortable serving him. That was the good thing about this bar. Everyone and anyone came and felt safe there. That was something Sam was proud of and made sure to promote it. It gave Merlotte's a good reputation and made people want to come there more often which was good for business. It also helped that people would tell others of it which would also increase business. Truth be told, Sam had nothing to complain of really. Well expect that he missed his mum and siblings but he was sure they'd come eventually. It was so much better here than back home in Wright.

"Merlotte!" a voice called out to him and turning he saw one of his regular customers standing there.

"Hiya," he said grinning at him. "What can I do for you tonight?" he asked him.
