History: Melinda Nicole Bobbin is the second of four children born to Neil and Kimberley Bobbin. Despite the age difference and how young her mother was when Matthew was born (being only 21) and with how much older Neil was, many thought their marriage wouldn't last but it did and is as strong as ever. Linda, as she prefers to be called, was a good child, though like every child she had her moments of temper tantrum's and the like while growing up.

Despite that, the Bobbin family were close and grew even closer when they were joined by two more children. Linda, enjoyed spending time to all of her siblings though perhaps she was the closest to Matthew as he had been there her entire life.

Growing up, she enjoyed reading and spending time with her friends and siblings playing games both indoors and outdoors when she wasn't at her families apothocaries where she spent a lot of her childhood and truth be told her childhood was really quite normal when it came down to it.

When it came to start Hogwarts in 1992, Linda was sorted into Hufflepuff which truthfully wasn't all that surprising given what she was like and plus she had no qualities for the other houses as it was. During her years there so far she tried to ignore everything that was going on though the Triwizard and Sirius Black did make her sit up and take notice for two completely different reasons.

She made some friends in her house but she wasn't all that close to many people as she had trouble opening up to them. She did fairly averagely in all of her classes a part from Potions where she inherited her families talent for it, even during her fourth year with Umbridge at the school she managed to avoid just about everything going on, just wanting to avoid notice.

That year proved to be good practice for her seventh year.

While she was determined to stay neutral in this entire war, she started to realise it was very hard to do so. She absolutely hated the changes that had been made to the school but she was continued on as she normally did, as much as she possibly could of course. It was hard to keep going how they did in previous years with people being punished left right and center but she tried and somewhat succeeded...

Come the Battle of Hogwarts, she with the rest of the underage students were lead to safety, something she was grateful for. No matter how much she didn't like the Death Eaters she didn't want to fight, didn't want to draw notice to herself and most of all she was terrified of being killed. Thankfully she and her family came out of the war alright.

During the following few months, she helped the Wizarding World clean up as much as she could but it wasn't much given she was still underage at the time. Come September she returned to Hogwarts for her final year of schooling and immediately noticed the changes. She personally thought that McGonagall was a much better Headmistress than Snape but for all she studied hard, spent time with her friends.

After graduating in June 2000, she has been working at her parents apothacary while working towards getting her Mastery in Potions. She has been on a couple of dates over the year but nothing has worked out. All in all she's happy with how her life is going though.

Personality: Linda is at heart a charming girl who loves to get along with people and stay on their good side, even if she doesn't like them, to her being polite to people is better than making enemies out of people as it always make things easier for her - even if she doesn't agree with them with a lot of things. She is the girl who will say please and thank you, sir and ma'am to adults and never raise her voice indoors, in fact one of her friends from childhood joked she had stepped out of the 1800's she was that polite. That isn't to say she doesn't have a temper or a breaking point when it comes to things, she just has learned to keep the former under control for the most part and the latter is fast approaching as the school year takes the toll on her.

If she has the choice of speaking out or keeping quiet, she will keep quiet and try and not draw attention to herself for a number of reasons. First of all she does not want the people who mean ill to notice her anymore than they absolutely had to (ie Carrow's in her sixth year) but secondly, Linda is a surprisingly a rather shy person who hates being the center of attention, just preferring to fade to the background if she can help it.

Her family has remained neutral for years neither siding with the Pureblood's or the Progressive's who want more Muggle rights etc. which is how she and her siblings were raised as well. While she didn't agree with the Dark Lord and the Blood Purists she also didn't believe that the two worlds should be combined with one another, mostly as the Muggle world is so unfamiliar and she has no idea how they would react to finding out Magic was real. Of course this stance also helps with the families business as they aren't against serving anyone and everyone.

Linda, while not the cleverest person works hard, especially at the subjects that she likes. She also has a natural inclination towards Potions, taking after her family in that regard. She won't slack off even if she hates it though this year she is starting to put off homework till the last minute mostly in Dark Arts and Muggle Studies, to classes she has come to hate and barely does the minimum participation requirement.

To her small group of friends she is incredibly loyal and would never dream of betraying them. Especially since it takes her so long actually to get the courage to talk to people enough to befriend them. Her friends and family are her life and are what keep her sane for the most part.

Appearance: Linda stands at 5'3 and weighs only 50kg making her appear quite petite. Combined with a young looking face that is quite round - often described as having a lot of baby fat on it still, she looked younger than her actual age which she finds quite annoying a lot of the time though she has been described as 'cute' and 'adorable' a lot of the time as well. She has long brown hair that she often wears out, on occasion curling it a bit too and brown eyes. Linda prefers to wear casual, comfortable clothes - often muggle jeans and a t-shirt over robes though of course this year that isn't as possible as it has been in the past.

Plot Ideas/Storylines: I'd love someone to try and recruit her to either side of the war. With her being underage during the last one people can assume that's why she remained neutral not because she truly is neutral. Especially with her potions work she'd have a lot of contact with people and won't hesitate in supplying either side if they pay for the potions.
