appearance

Cassie stands at a respectable 5'7, though being as slim as she is she looks taller than she actually is. Her blonde hair is wavy and usually looks fairly messy as there is so much of it but she finds she likes it and even sometimes makes it look messier than it actually is. She has always had a love of fashion and even when attending lessons will make sure she's dressed as well as she can be. Cassie has a couple of tattoo's - on her right shoulder blade there is a butterfly while on her left ankle there is a Celtic Knot. She also has her right ear pierced twice in the lobe and her left one the same but also has the top of it pierced as well as her bellybutton pierced. She has a few scars on her bodies from the usual childhood accidents though the most prominent one is on her right knee from an operation she had when she was twelve after a ski accident.

personality

Cassie grew up in a household that valued learning above all else and that is something that Cassie took to heart - she continually challenges herself to learn more things than she already does. Having done this all of her life it isn't all that surprising that she has a reputation as a know it all, someone who already knows all the answers and always raises her hands and offers an answer when asked something. This has lead her to develop a brass personality where she often thinks she is capable of doing anything and can't fail. While this is especially true with school work a lot of the time, she isn't so good at being 'perfect' when it comes to people. While she loves people and loves spending time with them, having spent so much time around books she actually doesn't have good people skills and often speaks plainly, not thinking about whether it is the right thing to say at the time and is often described as rude. Maybe it is due to this or because of it but Cassie has developed a habit of swearing a lot which has and does get her into trouble a lot. She just shrugs and moves on though. Despite that, it is one of the reasons she chose healing as her focus at Atlantis. Even if she doesn't have the best bedside manner (far from it in fact) she loves helping people and seeing them come better is something that she loves to see. Yes she might not be the best person out there but she has her own quirks. She knows she's pretty and while she isn't all that interested in dating she is interested in sex. Losing her virginity at fourteen to a senior, she quickly realized that sex was a great way to gain popularity she might not have with her bluntness and so forth but also a great way to relieve stress which meant she did even better at school which was brilliant in her mind.

MOTHER: Louisa FATHER: Simon SIBLINGS: Abby, Patrick (twins), George, Carrie & Chris (all younger) OTHER NOTABLE RELATIVES: Cassandra Beach was the oldest of six children born to Simon and Louisa Beach, two natives of Bloomington, Indiana. In fact both of her parents families had lived there since it was settled so it was no surprise that both parents new each other for a number of years. Cassie's parents had both been highly intelligent people who adored reading and learning, something that they passed down to their oldest child. By the time she entered school she was quite advanced for her age and found she wasn't like the other children. In the end she found herself finding refuge in the library outside of class where she continued to learn new things, to push herself further and further despite her young age. Her school years continued like this for the most part, especially during elementary and middle school. By the time she reached high school though she had grown enough to realize that there were some perks to being intelligent and as pretty as she was. Still she craved to have true friends something she never really had up to this point. Yes, she had some people she spent time with but it wasn't the same. During high school things began to change somewhat for her. While she was still awkward around people she worked hard to make it less so - though it wasn't of great success. She was also highly confident when it came to her school work and thought she could do no wrong with it - which she rarely if ever did, she also started to be noticed by boys which she used to her advantage. She was never popular in her own right but when she started to sleep with the popular boys, start going to their parties and just hanging with them though they generally didn't like her all that much (as well as doing their homework for them) people started to be more accepting of her. Well as much as they could be when she had no qualms about insulting them if it was the truth. She knew deep down it was the wrong thing to do but for the first time she felt she was 'accepted' (even if she knew it wasn't real) out side of her family members. Come her SATs she got near perfect scores in all of her tests coming to a score of 2380 much to her delight. While she would have preferred a perfect score she knew she couldn't do much better than she had done. The problem now was what to do with her life? Obviously she wanted to go to college but she wasn't sure what for. While she applied for Harvard and a few of the other ones, before she could accept any of her positions she was scouted to join Atlantis. While she didn't believe what she was being told at first she eventually came to accept it and decided to attend Atlantis. There she found that while she didn't fit in perfectly she wasn't as odd as she was back in her old life. She made some friends, slept with a few guys some once some multiple times and started to actually really enjoy it. Life at Atlantis was good in her opinion - she found the classes challenging enough as they were new to her but at the same time they weren't too hard. By the time she finished her first year she had decided to become a Healer in an effort to help people, even though she was told she would need to improve her beside manner, something she is still working on doing today. During the past six years she has grown more confident and self aware of her lack of people skills, something she has improved slightly with though she is nowhere near as good as most people in her age group but still she is comfortable with who she was and doesn't wish to change.
