BIOGRAPHY PARENTS: Amelia Quirke nee Cant & Joseph Quirke SIBLING(S): n/a SIGNIFICANT OTHER(S): Wifey (Melanie) OTHER FAMILY: Jake & Philippa (Pippa) - twins, aged 7 Sophia was an accident, but not an unloved one. Her parents weren't trying for a child but they had talked about having one in the future when her mother conceived. Her mother was a Chef and her father was an Engineer at the Mars Ship Colony, where they spent most of their time. When they weren't on Mars they would spend time either on Earth or the Moon Colony. Growing up, Sophia adored both of her parents and while she wished for a sibling, which wouldn't happen, she was a friendly and intelligent child with a bit of a thrill seeking streak. At school, Sophia did well at her subjects not due to intelligence - though she was never dumb - through sheer determination to do well. She'd never be at the top of the class but she was higher than average because she refused to be anything but. While she would only have a small group of close friends, she would often be described as kind and helpful by her classmates, always willing to step up and help others out if the need arose which was appreciated by everyone. When she was home, her father would often take her around the ships and explain to her what she was doing. While she picked up a lot of what he was teaching her, she was fascinated by the thought of flying them, of being out there among the stars. Eventually she convinced some of the local people to teach her how to fly and she fell in love. It was during these early years of her schooling that Sophia would pick up Ballet and fall in love with it. She spent hours each week learning and eventually had the opportunity to go professional if she wanted to really dedicate herself to it but she would decide against it, prefer it to remain a hobby over something that she had as a career. Especially as dancers had such short careers. At Starfleet Academy, she entered the Navigation Stream and fell even more in love with it. She did well at her classes though she wasn't at the top. She made some friends who she adores and met Melanie who she would go on to date and marry and eventually have two children with. After graduating from the Academy she was assigned to the USS Cochrane as a junior Navigator. She stayed their before transferring with a promotion to Leiutenant to the USS Brizo where she has stayed to this day and is now the Chief Navigator.

PERSONAL DETAILED PERSONALITY: Sophia is a warm and caring person though she is very much an introvert when it comes to her personality. She enjoys spending time with people and making them happy but at the same time, there's a limit to how much time she can spend with them. After an hour or so of having to be social, she starts to get tired and will retreat to a corner or home depending on where she is and what she is doing. She's more than happy to talk about what you're doing or what's happening with her or in the world from food and music to politics and your family. Just don't expect her to constantly talk. Sophia was always been a dreamer who wanted to be out there in the Stars. The thrill of flying the ship is exhilarating to her. Combined with how unpredictable Starfleet can be, Sophia swears she hasn't had a boring day since she was first assigned to a ship (not quite true but the sentiment is there). While the Brizo doesn't have as many malfunctions as the Enteprirse or DS9, the time on the ship hasn't been boring and she considers the crew to be her family. Sophia was always a creative person who enjoyed the arts. From a young age, she learned how to play the Cello and undertook Ballet lessons, both of which she continues to this day in her spare time. Sophia, despite being a hard worker isn't overly intelligent and has gotten to where she is today through a lot of hard work and determination. Sophia, despite her caring nature, can have a temper. She's a fierce believer in equality and won't hesitate to call out people if she sees them behaving in a way that she deems inappropriate. She can also hold a grudge for quite some time, struggling to forgive people especially if they have done something she personally deems to have hurt her in one way or another.
