Elizabeth is intelligent, hard working and loyal as well as a natural leader though she prefers to work in the background. She has shown time and time again that she can keep her own against scientists and others of the like as well as being able to keep a calm head under pressure which has served her well over the years.

She has a sharp mind and can easily make leaps of logic as well as think up solutions though she isn't a genius by any means the life experience she has gathered over the years in Stargate and as a diplomat for the United Nations has given her a more the basic starting point to understand situations that they might end up in.

Elizabeth is loyal friend to those who she calls a friend though she can keep herself emotionally separate if the situation requires of it, which has come in handy a lot of the times. Despite that, she does have a bad habit of worrying and being over protective of her teams, especially when they are off world as more often than not it turns into a dangerous situation - and even more so when it is SGA-1 involved in the off world mission.

She can be highly stubborn and argumentative at times, hating to back down unless the situation absolutely calls for it. Or it's a strategic advantage and not doing so would do a lot of good. Still, she is one to always hold her own, fight her own battles and will do what she thinks is right - even if it means placing herself in dangerous situations when others don't agree (mostly as the leader of the Atlantis expedition). Despite that if something does go wrong, Elizabeth has the unfortunate habit of blaming herself for it.

Elizabeth is a workaholic and always will put her work first and foremost over spending time with friends or just relaxing. Unfortunately this can be to the detriment of her health as she'll spend so long working that she'll get such little sleep, fall asleep at her desk or in some situations (usually when Atlantis is threatened) go days without sleeping which has resulted in her becoming a coffee addict as well.

Elizabeth has always had an interest in exploration and space as well as politics, this combined with her peaceful nature is what originally lead her to enter politics and then become a diplomat before joining Stargate. She has always and a thirst to discover the unknown and will never settle for knowing what she just does, for not seeing everything that she can. While she understands that sometimes violence and other means are sometimes necessary which is why she has agreed to some of the plans she has, especially while in Atlantis, she is completely against guns and has protested violently against them back home and refuses to use on herself.
history
Elizabeth is the middle child of three and only girl born to a family out in Washington DC. Growing up she was very much a person who was able to hold her own against her brothers and their friends, even against the other children at school who she wasn't exactly like being too clever and nerdy for them. From a young age she had always enjoyed books and a good debate with her father or anyone else for that matter, though they didn't always enjoy it.

While Elizabeth was closest to her father while growing up, she was close to her mother and brothers as well. All in all they were a fairly standard American family though like everyone else they had a few of their own quirks. At school, Elizabeth made a couple of friends who she's stayed in contact with over the years and a few that she's lost contact with as their lives moved a part.

She did well at all of her subjects though her best was easily English and history which both came naturally to her. She did so well at the others, partly due to natural talents but mostly due to her sheer determination to do as best as she could and preferably better than others.

After leaving school she went to college to study political sciences and languages which she had found that came naturally to her. During this time she dated a few guys but nothing came from it as she was too focused on her work. After leaving College, she got a job at Capitol Hill and made a name for herself in her incredibly firm stance against guns which got her in trouble at times. During this time she continued her college education and ended up getting her Phd in Political Sciences.

It wasn't long after this that she moved into diplomatic relations for the United Nations, realising politics wasn't exactly for her (she might have been encouraged to leave). She soon found that this was her calling and soon became one of the leading diplomats for the United Nations. After a stressful negotiation in the Middle East, she took a semester off and taught political science at Georgetown while undertaking further studies in her Language degree. After that semester, while she went back to doing her diplomatic work she finished up her degree, ending with a second Phd in languages which got her to the standing of the best diplomat of the UN, brokering some of the most sensitive treaties in modern history and served in many embassies across the world, made easier by the fact she spoke five different languages including Russian and Latin.

It wasn't long after she was appointed as the first civilian commander of the Stargate program by President Hayes. She wasn't in that position for long before she was given command of the Atlantis expedition, something she was highly excited about. She spent months and months preparing for it and even when she learned it was very much likely going to be a one way trip for them she didn't change her mind, even if it meant leaving her fiance Simon Wallace behind who she had met while she was teaching at Georgetown. Not long after arriving through the Stargate, she was terrified that the expedition would fail as the shield of Atlantis started to fail due to flooding being situated on the bottom of the ocean but was relieved when the city rose to the surface of the ocean. Except all was not good as after the first off world team returned through the gate she learned of the Wraith a species that fed by sucking the life force of their victims who had just learned of Earth, a new feeding ground.

While they were getting settled in Atlantis there were times when it seemed impossible. Nearly straight away they nearly lost their second Head of Military due to a bug that was sucking his life out of him and then the situation only worsened when the Puddlejumper got stuck in the Stargate and they had 38minutes to rescue everyone or they would have lost the team which included him, the Head of Science Rodney McKay and the leader of the Athosian people who they had granted refuge in Atlantis from the wraith. That wasn't to mention the fact that they soon suspected a spy among their people for the wraith, the need to find food and allies oh and the people who betrayed them just because one of their own was killed in a joint mission to blow up a Wraith ship.

Elizabeth had her work cut out for her. There seemed to never be a dull moment in Atlantis.

During their search for more ZPM's to power the city, they met a range of people some who were happy to help them and others weren't but as time went by bonds of friendship were formed between the team as well as with other people from the Pegusus Galaxy things looked up, even if there always seemed to be some sort of danger or trouble happening in one form or another.

Of course, there were the surprises within Atlantis too include a version of her who had been frozen in a stasis pod for the past 10,000 years to ensure the survival of Atlantis. One of the happier moments though was when they managed to regain contact with Earth which turned out to be a critical moment, allowing for the city of Atlantis to be saved in an attack by the Wraith who were looking to make their way to Earth.

During their third year in Atlantis, two stasis pods were discovered with whom, they were told were a husband and wife that were about to die and would like to say a final goodbye to each other. Allowing this, the consciousness of the two stasis-pod people inhabited John and Elizabeth. Unfortunately it turned out they were the sole survivors of two waring people and they were determined to kill each other once and for all.

Elizabeth had to make some hard calls over the years including the testing of a drug to turn wraith into humans with Michael Kenmore. While she thought it was the right thing to do at the time it soon turned out it wasn't. She would later agree to a temporary alliance with him in order to hopefully destroy more of the Wraith.

Awhile later, she was unfortunately infected by a herb that was used by Lucius and made him irresistible by releasing pheromones which was highly embarrassing to her. Not long after this, she and Sheppard's team made contact with Asurans - replicators made by the Ancients - who believed Atlantis had been destroyed in the first war against the Wraith. Unfortunately, they soon discovered this wasn't a case when they mind-probed Elizabeth and her team. They eventually came to a deal where McKay would remove the aggressive coding from their make-up and they would be allowed to leave. Despite this, Elizabeth believed that they couldn't be controlled and decided to destroy the replicators home world. Unfortunately the reamining Asurans reprogrammed Niam back to the way he was and he attacked the Atlantis team, infecting Elizabeth with some of his nanites. Unfortunately this ended up causing her to believe that Atlantis was nothing but a dream and she was still on Earth working for the United Nations. Thankfully, she was cured by an EM Pulse which disabled them though they remained in her body.

A turning point was when they rescued some Ancients that had been in stasis for over 10,000 years. Unfortunately they reclaimed Atlantis and the SGC and IOA decided that the Atlantis team must return home though Jack O'Neil and Woolsey were allowed to stay. Back on Earth, Elizabeth had an incredibly hard time moving on and ended up writing her memoirs though no one would be able to read them. Soon they discovered the Asuran's had overtaken Atlantis and the SGC were planning on destroying it. Getting a team together they made their way back to the Pegusus Galaxy and retook Atlantis for themselves.

After returning to Atlantis, things continued much the same way as they had before and Elizabeth was much happier than she had been on Earth. Not long after that, it was decided the entire team were to have a mandatory rest day though she did start the day doing paperwork. One of the computer techs, Dr Mike Branton asked her out for lunch. Enjoying it, they ended up on one of the balconies where they kissed.

There are a few options for taking this! You may either follow the short version below or you can take one of the following tests and tell us your answer the 38 Questions here or this longer version 126 Questions. Any option is acceptable, just keep in mind the longer the version the more accurate number!

NUMBER: (if you took one of the longer tests please tell us what number you got here)

THE SIMPLE TEST
Weight the paragraphs in each Group from 3 to 1, with “3” being the one that best describes your actual behavior.

GROUP 1
  1. [NUMBER_HERE] - I have tended to be fairly independent and assertive: I’ve felt that life works best when you meet it head-on. I set my own goals, get involved, and want to make things happen. I don’t like sitting around—I want to achieve something big and have an impact. I don’t necessarily seek confrontations, but I don’t let people push me around, either. Most of the time, I know what I want, and I go for it. I tend to work hard and to play hard.

  2. [NUMBER_HERE] - I have tended to be quiet and am used to being on my own. I usually don’t draw much attention to myself socially, and it’s generally unusual for me to assert myself all that forcefully. I don’t feel comfortable taking the lead or being as competitive as others. Many would probably say that I’m something of a dreamer—a lot of my excitement goes on in my imagination. I can be quite content without feeling I have to be active all the time.

  3. [NUMBER_HERE] - I have tended to be extremely responsible and dedicated. I feel terrible if I don’t keep my commitments and do what’s expected of me. I want people to know that I’m there for them and that I’ll do what I believe is best for them. I’ve often made great personal sacrifices for the sake of others, whether they know it or not. I often don’t take adequate care of myself—I do the work that needs to be done and relax (and do what I want) if there’s time left.
GROUP 2
  1. [NUMBER_HERE] - I am a person who usually maintains a positive outlook and feels that things will work out for the best. I can usually find something to be enthusiastic about and different ways to occupy myself. I like being around people and helping others be happy— I enjoy sharing my own well-being with them. (I don’t always feel great, but I generally try not to show it!) However, keeping a positive frame of mind has sometimes meant that I’ve put off dealing with my own problems for too long.

  2. [NUMBER_HERE] - I am a person who has strong feelings about things—most people can tell when I’m upset about something. I can be guarded with people, but I’m more sensitive than I let on. I want to know where I stand with others and who and what I can count on—it’s pretty clear to most people where they stand with me. When I’m upset about something, I want others to respond and to get as worked up as I am. I know the rules, but I don’t want people telling me what to do. I want to decide for myself.

  3. [NUMBER_HERE] - I am a person who is self-controlled and logical—I don’t like revealing my feelings or getting bogged down in them. I am efficient—even perfectionistic—about my work, and prefer working on my own. If there are problems or personal conflicts, I try not to let my feelings influence my actions. Some say I’m too cool and detached, but I don’t want my private reactions to distract me from what’s really important. I’m glad that I usually don’t show my reactions when others “get to me.”

The last thing Elizabeth remembered was John coming through the Stargate and informing her that her Military Commander was dead, they had woken an ancient species that sucked the life out of people oh and were after Earth as a new feeding ground for their race. Yes that had been a pleasant conversation... not. Then again it was also far from unusual given her role within the Stargate. While she hadn't been in charge of Stargate Command for long she did come up against a lot of weird and unusual things which made this another standard day for her. For the most part at least. There was the fact she was in another Universe, in the long forgotten city of Atlantis and that they might never return home to Earth.

She had been aware of the fact this would be a one way trip and no matter how much it hurt to leave her family and fiancée behind she knew she had to go on this trip. It was hers and hers alone and she couldn't imagine anyone else being in command of the expedition.

So what didn't make sense was how she had ended up someplace else without touching anything or stepping through the Stargate. Of course there was a lot of undiscovered technology and alien species out there that could have done that. The thing she noticed first was the pounding headache and stiff neck. A migraine was the last thing she needed at the moment.

"Brilliant," she murmured to herself. She tried to sit up but quickly gave up on that idea when she thought she might be sick. That was when the voice started from above her.

"Welcome to the orb, you have been assigned to a living zone, your movements are now monitored and rules are mandatory... Do not attempt to resist."

Alright, we need to think about this logically Elizabeth thought to herself trying to process what she had just learned. She had never heard of these Orbs - that would have to be something she figured out as soon as she could move again as well as what the rules were. Oh and how they were monitored. What she would do to have Carson or Rodney with her at that particular moment.
