Description: Standing at 5'11 he is tallish. He has blond-brown hair which is littered with grey and with his dark eyes, beard and slight mustache he can come across as very rugged without much care for how he looks and much older than he actually is. His clothes are worn torn and are falling apart because he really can't afford anything else. He does have a friendly look about him despite this and the many scars he posses from his transformations.

General Personality: Remus is a kind, patient man at heart but at the same time he is also extremely insecure due to his 'disability'. All of his life he has been scared of getting to close to other people incase they abandoned him when they discovered what he was. Of course he knew not everyone would be he was well aware of the general stigma of the Wizarding World towards his kind. Those who he has let close to him, he would protect with his life. Even if it means pushing them away for their own safety. Which actually was lead to the whole problem of Sirius believing he was the spy in the first place - he started to spend less and less time around his friends at the height of the first war.
He is incredibly patient and it takes a lot for him to loose his temper. He believes in calmness when it comes to dealing with people. A clear and calm head is better than acting in a fit of anger. In fact he can be so calm at times that it annoys some people. He doesn't mind though, it is who he is after all.
Remus is incredibly clever and loves learning new things. He has always been a bit of a book worm and found it easy to learn new things. Especially as a child, after he was bitten he didn't have much interaction if any with other children so books were the only companionship he had outside of his parents.
It shouldn't come as a surprise given who he is friends with, but Remus also has a rather mischievous side that surfaces from time to time. He loves a good laugh and enjoys having fun with his friends. He also has the useful ability to charm people to get himself out of trouble, which was especially useful while he was still at Hogwarts.
History
History: Remus was born a normal child to a normal family. Apart from the fact both his parents were Muggleborns but to him that was completely beside the point. He talked when he was supposed to, sat up when he was supposed to and was just normal. That was until he was attacked by Fenrir at the age of four. That is one of the very first full memories that he has. It is when his life changed.
Remus remembers pain and lots of it. Fighting too. For days, months even. It was six months later that his mother left his father and him alone to defend for themselves. She just couldn't bare the thought of raising a Werewolf child. That was the last time that he heard or saw her nor does he have any idea what happened to her. It was at this time he started to distance himself from the few children that he knew as well. His father encouraged this and his love of reading which he was more than happy to do. At first he missed the company of his handful of friends but he grew used to it, especially as he realised how much of a danger he was to them.
As he approached the age of eleven, he knew that he wouldn't be accepted into Hogwarts. He was a werewolf after all. It was quite a surprise therefore when he received a visit from the Headmaster explaining that if he wanted to attend Hogwarts he could. He jumped on the chance even if he was wary at first. After the Headmaster had explained about the shack and the secret passage his father finally agreed.
It was therefore with trepidation of being discovered but excitement for all the things he could learn that Remus headed off to Hogwarts on September 1st and was sorted into Gryffindor. He was just as surprised to be befriended by his dorm mates but he soon discovered he did fit in even if he was a lot more studious than the others. None the less he was terrified of what they would do if they discovered so he kept making up all these excuses such as sick relatives to explain his disappearances. He was terrified when they did discover it though but so happy when they told him that they didn't care. It seemed like a weight had been lifted up off his shoulders.
From then on, the four of them seemed to grow closer at least from Remus's point of view. The four of them planned and dealt with a lot of pranks over the years - Remus was the mastermind behind them though they all had their own fair share of thinking and plotting. He never understood his friends rivalry with Severus either, sure he didn't like the man but he didn't get aggravating him. Perhaps it was due to what he was but Remus was more than content to ignore him. He did form some friends with people outside of the Marauders too which was good.
He excelled at his school work which was probably a direct result from how much he loved to read and to succeed - to show he was worth something as well as his natural intelligence. This was so much so that he was made a prefect in his fifth year along with Lily Evans, one of his friends. It was around this time that, during one of the full moon's that he nearly attacked Severus Snape due to a horrible prank, something that took him a long time to forgive himself - and Sirius for.
it was during his fifth year as well that he discovered the length his friends would go to keep him happy when they announced they had become Animagi for him. He was thrilled at that. Sure there had been things over the years that had shown it - their acceptance of his nature, Sirius taking notes for him even when he wouldn't take them for himself and other small things but this was something different and much larger.
Finally, graduating from Hogwarts he moved into a flat with Sirius at his friends insistence he found a job but knew he couldn't get a decent one. It wasn't long after this that he and his friends joined the Order with the war heating up as it was between them, the Death Eaters and the fight against the Monarchy and the Ministry in their fight for equality for all.
