School and Loyalties
Allegiance: Ministry/Death Eaters. Savage is one of the few people that are loyal to both the Ministry and the Death Eaters though he was never marked due to his blood status as while he would like to call himself a Pureblood he is aware that many of the older Pureblood families would not consider him as such given how knew his family was (His Grandparents are Halfblood's). Savage doesn't have anything against Muggleborn's etc but he thinks they should adapt themselves to the Wizarding World instead of vice versa which the other side seemed to want to do in his opinion. If he joined the Muggle world he would expect to adapt to their way of life so they should adapt to there's as they were there first, it was as simple as that in his opinion.
His support of the Ministry stems from the fact that he has worked their for a decade and thinks it has a lot of potential if run right. He also believes that if they work closely with the Dark Lord they could in fact bring about peace and order a lot quicker than if they work separately... there's just not really anyone else who believes this which is problematic in his view.
In game he is probably more working for the Death Eaters than the Ministry as he is aware that the Dark Lord has the best ideas when it comes to his beliefs. That doesn't mean he isn't not happy with his job within the Ministry though, he just has different beliefs to them. Most of all though, he just wants order restored to the world so truthfully, when it comes down to it he would do anything really to make it happen.... Except probably help the Order by themselves as what they stand for - making the Wizarding World more muggle (in his opinion) is the wrong way to go about things.
Hogwarts House: Ravenclaw
Graduation Year: 1968
Best Subject: Defense
Worst Subject: Transfiguration
Other School Achievements: Prefect
Occupation: Auror
Appearance
Description: Standing at 6', Patrick is of average height for a man his age in this time. His body is well toned from all the excercise he undertakes to stay fit for his job - after all it can't do for him to have become puffed from being unfit when trying to capture someone. His hair is black and cropped close to his head. His face has a well defined bone structure that makes him look rather stern at times and in fact one of the Muggleborn's he worked with before everything occurred joked that he could have made a good James Bond (not that Patrick had a clue as to what he was going on about).
His normal day wear usually consisted of slacks, a shirt that he kept open at the collar at all times and a black tie. He likes to look professional but at the same time, Savage puts a lot of stock in being comfortable as well. If you aren't comfortable in what you are wearing it is unlikely you would be able to concentrate properly to get things done.
PB: Robson Green (icons)
Personality
Likes: being alone, power, a good book, peace and quiet, dark arts, Wizarding traditions
Dislikes: loudness, people who insist on talking all the time, not being able to accomplish something, the merging of the two worlds, muggle items
Strengths: hard working, intelligent, determined, ambitious
Weaknesses: Stubborn, prejudiced, cold, distant, unfriendly, doesn't open up to people, manipulative, can lie easily, arrogant
Boggart: Drowning to death
Mirror of Erised: Him as Minister
Patronus? n/a
Wand: 10' Oak and Dragon Heartstring
General Personality: Patrick is a cold, collected man who takes no nonsense from anyone and never has done so. A very A + B = C type of person, Patrick doesn't like it when things don't happen how he wants them to happen or something isn't as he believes it to be. Very rigid in his beliefs it would take something drastic for him to change the way he was. In some ways this can be quite a good thing but it also means that he might not listen to other people's points of views as he believes them to be incorrect.
Patrick doesn't have friends but acquaintances as he believes if he gets to close to people he could end up hurt, if he isn't close to them? Well it means that he can do what he wants without the fear of being brought down by someone attacking his friends and he can't push them away by his actions. This probably stems from the fact that he has never been really close to anyone in his life as he is a loner when it comes down to the fact.
Very subtle, Patrick can make people believe one thing when in fact he means another. This has come in handy over the years when it comes to keeping his true beliefs to himself as he knew that the majority of people wouldn't support them- not that he cared about what they believed but he knew it would impact on his chances to become into a power of position among the Auror's.
History
History: Born on May 2 1950, Patrick Savage was the odd one out in his family from the very beginning. He was a quiet child in a house of loud people, the child that was happy to be left alone when others were always vying for attention. Perhaps it was that reason he was so quiet as he was aware that he would have to fight for attention but even from the earliest days he would not cry unless he absolutely had to.
Learning to read at a young age, Patrick quickly found solitude in the books in his house - though there wasn't all that many. Nonetheless, he quickly discovered he loved reading and when he could he would spend time at the library just reading whatever he could get his hands on. Of course his parents didn't understand this and tried to encourage him to participate in other family activities with them but he just didn't like the sort of things they were into.
Patrick never connected with the children his own and similar ages, he was just too different to them. This lead, as children are, to a lot of teasing and bullying which made him retreat further into his books than before.
Upon arriving at Hogwarts he was sorted into Ravenclaw which came as no surprise to him or his family once he bothered to inform them which took a couple of days as he truly didn't think of it. At Hogwarts he met some people similar to him but he didn't bother getting to know them all that well as he didn't understand how they could be so social. The only part he liked was that they too were big on reading and the like and therefore not as loud as his family (which were all Gryffindor and Hufflepuff's).
During his years at Hogwarts, Patrick focused a lot on his school work and did quite well, always near the top of his class. Even as the years passed he didn't socialising much with his peers and he truthfully didn't see anything wrong with that. They quickly learnt not to bother him and he didn't bother them so all was good in his books.
He was made prefect in his fifth year which meant more socalising with other people but he viewed it as a stepping stone in his time at Hogwarts, something he would do to show he could. He did his duties and that was that, he didn't put anything extra into them nor did he slack off.
Graduating from Hogwarts near the top of his class, he was accepted into Auror training. He quickly took to it and worked hard at anything that came his way pleasing his teachers. Of course he didn't try and suck up to them for his own benefit but he worked hard so he could eventually make a mark on his career- if one did averagely at the Auror Training he doubted they would get a high ranking position when they were older.
From there he went on to become one of the better Auror's as he would settle for nothing else. He tried dating a couple of times over the years just because he knew he had to settle down and have children to continue his line but nothing ever came from them- apart from him scaring the women away.
In 1973, he managed to discover someone who was fighting for what he believed in when it came to Pureblood beliefs that wasn't the Monarchy. While the Monarchy had some ideas that he agreed with he thought they should be standing up and forcing less power from the Ministry and back to them. This person though wanted that, even if he didn't want the Monarchy how it was. It would do for Patrick though.
From there he has passed information from the Auror Department to the Dark Lord in the hopes of helping him gain power that would allow him to win one day.
