personality Colin Waters was raised in a traditional Irish Catholic family and in many ways is still that. He was raised with those conservative values and in many ways they still influence who he is today. He is therefore somewhat 'back wards' compared to many children these days but to him it is what he is used too. Colin, grew up believing and doing what is right in the eyes of his parents which meant he was often on the outside compared to the others. Due to this as well as being the oldest of the three Waters children, Colin is quite sensible in his day to day dealings. It was also why he became a pastry chef, because it was expected of him. Colin does care for his siblings though he doesn't always understand them especially Bridgette who is very much a rebellious child and always has been. Despite that, he would do anything for her and Shae if need be. It was this loyalty that made him move to the States with his family when his father got the job though he was more than capable of supporting himself in Ireland now that he had a career and was of age. Moving there when he was 23, meant that he was old enough to be independent but also still somewhat reliant on his parents. He is always the calm member of the family and is the one to help settle arguments between the calmly though he might not always understand all of their sides. Growing up with the Conservative family, his relationships have been highly influenced by this. Though, he has had a few serious relationships over the years, he still considers himself a virgin as he believes intercourse is something for the marital bed. Despite that he has fooled around with his girlfriend, Jessica who he was engaged too. Their relationship ended when he decided to move to the States with his family and she wouldn't follow him. He still cares about her a lot and considers her to be one of his closest friends. While Colin isn't homophobic like some people of his religion, he believes that one shouldn't act on those desires. It is someone's duty to marry and have children. If one were to find themselves attracted to someone of the same gender they should always ignore it and that it will eventually go away. Or if it doesn't they should still find someone of the opposite gender to marry and have children with. Beside it being expected of him, growing up in his mother's bakery, Colin has a love of food and creating it. He is incredibly passionate about his work and finds it to be as much as an art form as the fine arts are. There is nothing quite as comforting as a well turned out piece of food. When he isn't cooking, Colin has discovered a love of rollerblading in and around the foreshore and surprisingly enjoys a good session of meditation and yoga. Every Sunday he shall be found at the St. Monica Catholic Church where he has been attending since settling there not long after they moved to the States. The only bit of 'rebellion' was when he just moved to the States and got a celtic cross on his left shoulder in honour of the home he was leaving behind. ♥ |

abilities&skills Cooking, rollerskating, mediation ♥ history Colin Seamus is the oldest and only boy born to the Waters family. Growing up outside of Dublin, he was raised with their conservative Catholic beliefs. Some of his first memories were of him spending time in his mum's bakery where he would often watch her and the others cook. It was here that he developed a love of food and cooking and decided to follow in her footsteps, even if she expected him to do so regardless. Colin, attended school and church regularly and had a small group of friends though he was on the quieter and more serious side personality wise while growing up. He did well at school, enjoyed reading though most of the time he would cook when he had the opportunity to do so. When he was three his sister Shae was born and two years latter they were joined by Bridgette. He loved his sisters though he had trouble understanding his youngest sibling, she was just so different to him. Life was great. After school, he attended the local tech school and got a degree in food handling and cooking before he started to work full time at the family's bakery. During this time he dated a girl who he would eventually become engaged too. Unfortunately, it wasn't going to last. Three months after they were engaged his father landed a job at UCLA and after much discussion Colin decided to move with them, instead of staying in Ireland and continuing the families business. He offered the opportunity for Jessica to move with them but she decided she wanted to stay in Ireland. While they broke off the engagement they stayed friends and have stayed in contact via email and Skype. He settled in the family home in LA for awhile before he managed to land a job at Huckleberry's a cafe in Santa Monica. From there he managed to get an apartment in Venice which he loves. It wasn't long after that he met Caitlyn who he started to date. The two of them dated for a couple of years until she decided to take up a job in Washington. Unlike with Jessica, he tried to keep in contact with her but in the end they drifted a part. ♥ |
