| PERSONALITY |
Elizabeth is first and foremost a Tudor, not only in her appearance but in her personality as well. She has a fiery temper that comes with her red hair and can lose it at a drop of the hat though she will come to regret it at times, especially if it is on someone she loves. To go along with this she is incredibly stubborn to the point that she will do something just to prove her wrong. Never tell her that she can't do something - that is the one thing she hates the most in her life. She is a keen learner and will try and learn anything she can, to the point that she can often soak up information like a sponge. She is passionate about languages and speaks many, as mentioned above but she will learn anything from geography to history just because she is interested in doing so. To her the more that she knows the better off she will and she's just plain curious about everything around her. This curiosity also extends to her mother though she has learned for the most part not to ask questions about her, she will on occasion - Kat being the most likely to answer the questions for her. It isn't just that she is passionate about, her whole personality is a passionate one especially to those that she calls family and friend to the point that she would do anything to protect them and anything for them if they were to just ask her. Besides learning she has enjoyed dancing, theatre, horse riding and hunting though at the moment she doesn't have as much time for the latter as she wished as it is 'unladylike' and she is to focus on her lessons first and foremost - that isn't to say she doesn't do it whenever she can. Elizabeth is a highly independent person and hates having to rely on others, she would much prefer to do something herself though she will ask for advice from others she will rarely do so as she doesn't want to appear weak in front of anyone. As a woman she knows she is perceived as weak which is something she detests with a fiery passion. Even at such a young age she has no desire to marry. Mostly this stems from watching her father treat his wives and she refuses to be treated like that. |
| HISTORY |
| Elizabeth Tudor was born to Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn on September 7 1533 at Greenwich Palace. The first two years of her life were perfect in many ways as the 'true' Princess of England, her older half sister Mary being labelled illegitimate when Henry divorced his mother due to their marriage being unacceptable due to the fact Katherine had been married to his brother before him. Unfortunately the Pope hadn't agreed so Henry broke with Rome and became the Head of the Church of England. Her life changed for the worse when she was two and after a miscarriage where the child was deformed, Henry accused her of witchcraft, adultery, high treason and incest. High Treason was enough for her to be put to death but along with everything else her execution was inevitable along with her brother George and a few other people who were accused of having an affair with her. From there, she and Mary were both illegitimate children and Henry went on to marry Jane Seymour who while gave him the son he desired died in childbirth. Despite being known as a child of a witch, Elizabeth had a small household to herself which included Kat Ashley, her governess and the closest thing she had to a mother while she grew up. She spent her childhood learning and spending time with the few friends she was allowed - her cousin Catherine Parr and Robert Dudley were the two main friends she had as a child. She found her lessons came easily to her as she was a precocious learning and wanted to learn everything she could get her hands on. She excelled at languages, music, dance and even politics to the point that she could read and write French, Latin, Italian and Greek as well as play the harp and piano forte. As she grew up, her relationship with her father and stepmother's remained rocky though she tried her hardest to please him she never could quite bring herself to trust him or any other men besides Robert and later William Cecil. By the time her father married his last wife, Elizabeth was showing signs of the Queen she would one day become. During his last marriage though, Elizabeth was brought closer to her father at her stepmothers urging as well as an attempt to bring her sister and her closer together though it didn't work as well as she would have liked - Elizabeth and Mary hated each other at such a young age though they were both in similar positions. |
