He's constantly happy, loves having fun and is quite an easy going person as well as being quite artistic too. Bert likes to believe the best in everyone and doesn't judge people from where they come from or who they are, which is perhaps combined with his love of having fun why Mary Poppins is such a good friend of his. Despite, his love of having fun and just how much he enjoys life in general, Bert really has no idea what exactly he wants to do with his life which is why he's often described as a Jack of all Trades. He's happiest when he is busy and often feels sad when he has nothing to do. He also loves to see other people happy, which is why he enjoys spending time with Mary Poppins and the Banks children. Because Bert does like to be busy so much he is often found helping people out as well as trying new things just for the sake of it - how can one know if one will like it or not if one hasn't tried it after all? Most of all though, Bert enjoys life and wants to live it to the fullest. Bert is surprisingly quite artistic in both drawing and singing and has tried to make a number of careers out of these skills including a one man band and a street artist. While he has enjoyed both of these things he still finds them unrewarding after a time and will continue on his quest to find the perfect job.
