Character Information Name: James "Rhodey" Rhodes Age: 48 Occupation (include organization affiliation, if any): Military Commander Special abilities, if any: Skilled Aviator, Skilled Engineer, Skilled Combatant, Skilled Marksman PB: Don Cheadle Appearance: Black, tall, muscular and fit. Rhodey is a sure sign of his military past and the effort to remain fit. Personality: Unlike many people with a military background, Rhodey maintains a concious despite everything that he has seen over the years. If he had the choice, he wouldn't kill people but unfortunately he knows as a Military man, that he doesn't always have the choice in the matter - if someone attacks he will kill in defense. Some people might find it surprising that he is in the Military, but he wants to make the world a better place and wants to defend America from people willing to do it harm. He hates bullies with a passion. Rhodey, is unquestionably loyal to those who he calls family and friends. He hates it when people more powerful use him against him and would do anything for them. Yeah, that thing when he was forced to attack Tony? So not cool in his books. Rhodey is also incredibly clever though nowhere near the level of his best friend, Tony Stark. Due to his high marks during his time for high academic achievement while at USAFA, where he started after graduating from High School. Family & Friends: Tony Stark, Pepper Potts, others TBD History: Rhodey had a good childhood, the only child of two well off - though not overly rich - parents, he had nearly everything that he wanted. He was far from spoiled though. Growing up, he always was fascinated by the Military and all that they did to protect America. He also developed a fascination with studying both the World Wars and America's role in them. At school, he gained the nickname Rhodey which as stuck with him for the rest of his life. He did quite well though his best subjects were mathematics, physical activities (any and all) and science. He was determined to join the Military from the get go and he worked his butt off to get there and in the end he managed to do just that. After school, he went on to the Military Academy where he scored high results and was accepted into MIT where he met Tony Stark, the two of them becoming firm friends. After graduating from there he worked up the ranks of the Military, finally becoming a Colonel. Then all the Iron Man movies happened. Very interesting stuff and he becomes War Machine and Iron Patriot and back to War Machine believe that is a much better name than Iron Patriot. After the battle where they save the President, Rhodey has been back serving in the Military but also has started to work as a personal bodyguard for the President who trusts him with his safety after everything that happened. He wasn't sure what he had done this time but given it looked like that a bomb had gone off in the community room. "STARK!" he yelled. Nothing happened. "JARVIS?" he called out. "Good afternoon Mr Rhodes," JARVIS replied. "I'm afraid that Mr Stark is unavailable for the time being." "Obviously," Rhodey bit out sarcastically. "I suppose I'll find Pepper and get this cleaned up while we wait for him to start feeling alive again."
