Where Did You Hear About Us?: I thought about apping here ages ago but now I have been enabled again by Jeanna and have seen Steph talking about it too.

How well do you know the character's source material?: Quite - I'm half way through season two but plan on marathoning it over the weekend. I've seen a lot of the first half of s3 when my housemate was watching it as it is.
What objects will your character have from their world? A photo of her and Henry
What locations will your character bring from their world? Her fathers grave(?)

Name: Chanelle Alessandra Amelie Perrett well, you probably know me as Melanie though.
Reincarnation: Regina Mills, I'm sure you have heard of me.
Age/Birthday: A lady never tells (She appears to be in her mid 30s though she is actually 40)
Sexuality: Straight.
Occupation: BBC One News presenter
Appearance: I'm quit slim and tall looking so I might look actually taller than I actually am. I have bright red hair, were fancy clothes and can look fairly arrogant at times. I just can't help it, especially since discovering Regina in my mind. Then again I've never been one to put up with just nobody, I like being someone and knowing someone so I suppose I am arrogant even without her...
Abilities/Talents: Thanks to Regina I have a very slight trace of magic and can do some very simple spells and potions.

Personality: Okay, well we've already established that I'm arrogant and I won't admit it to anyone but it is true. Considering my ex thinks this well I don't know how true it is. I will give you that I am ambitious and I want to do well in life, in my chosen profession and given I'm now the new leads reader for the BBC I'd like to think I've at least gotten close to succeeding if not getting there but I'm of the opinion that you can always do better than you already have. Still I'm pretty happy with my job even if Regina isn't.
Oh Regina, she's an interesting person and I can see some similarities between the two of us but I'd like to think I'm not as callous as she is. We're both highly ambitious, believe in true love and have been hurt more times than we'd like to admit. At the same time though we care a lot about those people that we do care about but those are few and far between.
Unlike Regina I have never been a fan of the outdoors and have much preferred spending my time indoor with a good book or romantic movie. Since then she's tried to convince me to go out and learn how to do things such as horse riding but I've managed to hold off so far but then who knows what will happen in the future? I've never really been a fan of the makebelieve, magic or anything which made having Regina in my head an adjustment - you know besides actually having someone in my head but she also represented everything that I didn't believe in.
We can't also deal with fools, liars and people who break promises. Namely my ex-husband. Dickhead.

History: Regina says fuck you, I'm surprised you already don't know it truthfully.
(ooc: Chanelle was born in London to an upperclass family who decided that they wanted a child late in life. Being an only child to an older couple meant that she was doted on as they knew she was the only child that they would have. Anything she wanted, she got and what she wanted was to be the best so they tried their hardest to do just that. Chanelle's father was incidentally on the board of members for the school she attended and made things a lot easier for her during that time as well as giving her positions and scores that she didn't actually earn. She never knew this while she was at school but learned it after she finished college.
Her school years were interesting, she had friends and did reasonably well though even then she had airs and graces that annoyed some people but she would just shrug and move on. If people didn't like her that wasn't her problem.
That was until she reached college though. It was there that she made some friends and a boyfriend who it later turned out were only using her to reach her father who had just become the Mayor of London. She was beyond hurt with that, thinking they were truly her friends and Daniel (she found that name highly ironic when she came host to Regina, in a bad way) was the first person she had truly loved. From there she retreated into herself and was determined to prove them wrong, to prove that she was worth their friendship and Daniel's love but unfortunately that never happened.
From there she managed to graduate at the top of her class and went on to become a junior assistant at the BBC. It was when she was 24 and was at a music fesitval for work that an up and coming band who was said to be the next Rolling Stones though she doubted it.
Anyway, by that time she had had her name legally changed to Melanie having hated the name that her parents had given her and her boss had said that Melanie was better suited for someone in their job field. So that was how she introduced herself to Stephen. He was cute and talented, that she would give him and she was lonely enough that she ended up going home with him.
Anyway, three years later they were married and they stayed that way for the next ten years. It wasn't a happy marriage though. Melanie had always dreamed that Stephen (or Steve as she called him) would make it big but unfortunately he and the band didn't. She kept pushing him but in the end it was of no use.
Ten years after their marriage she had advanced through the ranks of news readers and it was then that the headline news reader became interested in her. She was hesitant at first but then she realised that if she did this and she could get a lot of prestige and influence they could become even better, have more money than they originally did and so forth. Unfortunately, Stephen came home early one night and caught the two of them making out.
She didn't even bother fighting when he asked for a divorce.
She up and moved to Manhattan, little knowing that she was pregnant at the time and something she still hasn't come out and said to Stephen though she continually asks him if they want to get back together whenever she in England. She doesn't really want to but with a five year old daughter and her career on the rise it would be good to have the father around.
