PERSONALITY
Jonathan has always been a curious child and natural explore who loved learning new things, going on adventures and exploring anything that he could. In someways he was destined to join Starfleet and to do just that in the space, to become one of the finest Captains and Admirals that Starfleet would ever see. Jon always was an adventurous person and combined with his curiostiy he was also in trouble when he was yougner - and even during his career he often got into sticky situations though he always found a way out of things. Perhaps it is also because he is intelligent, combined with his strong morals - though he will bend or break them from time to time if the situation calls for it - that he comes across as such a natural leader. It is much to do with these aspects of his personality that Archer is more willing to adapt to situations than others might be. In situations that he does adapt too, he is willing to do things that he might not believe in but as long as he remains the aspects that make him a human then he is more than happy to do so in these situations. He has a strong sense of loyalty to those who calls friends and colleagues but first that they must prove that they are worthy of earning it. He is an incredibly determined person to the point that some of the people who don't know or don't get along with him have called him stubborn, but that isn't to say he want make concessions if he believes it is the right thing to do. He has always been a visionary, believing in a better future and striving for it - he knows that the human race is capable of so much and he wants to see them succeed. There's so much potential in everyone that he wants to see him and everyone else strive to be the best, to see Earth stretch out and discover all that is out there. Of course, he has some soft spots and things he can't do without. He's the type of person who loves animals and will go out of his way if he sees one that is injured. To that extent he has always had one pet or another, the latest being his pet Beagle, Porthos who he absolutely adores to the point that he even took him upon the Enterprise when he was made Captain of the ship.
HISTORY
Born in upstate New York on Earth to Henry and Sally Archer in 2112, though he spent much of his childhood in San Fransisco where his father worked as a Warp Scientist. His love of space began on his eight birthday when he received The Cosmos: A-Z which he would spend many hours reading to the point of memorising it. He even, at a young age inscribed his name in the front of a book as 'Admiral Jonny Archer'. Unfortunately, when Jonathan was twelve, his father died at Henry Archer died of Clarke's Disease which led him devastated. Much to his delight, he was accepted into what would eventually become Starfleet and achieved many things over the years including being the first human to achieve warp 2.5 along with A.G Robinson who would become a good friend of his in 2143. Seven years later he became the Commanding Officer of the Enterprise NX-01. It wasn't long until he started to achieve even more, becoming among others to become one of the first humans to step foot on Qo'noS the Klingon homeworld and making various first contact with species such as Suliban and the Andorians. During the second year of the Enterprise's mission, he managed to exceed Warp 5 for the first time as well as traveling to the 31st century where he learns from Daniel that he will become instrumental in forming the United Federation of Planets. Unfortunately it wasn't entirely good though, being put on trail on the plaent Narendra III by the Klingons, though he would eventually get away. The following year, he was involved in a long mission to destroy a superweapon made by the Xindi who were intent on destroying Earth. While they did attack Earth killing millions of people, they did in the end manage to stop the weapon from destroying the planet. That wasn't all that he did during that year, he was transformed ino a Loque'eque due to a virus that he and a couple of other members of his crew were exposed too on an abandoned Xindi vessel. He also spends some time back in the year 2004, to stop a group of Xindi-Reptilians who traveled back in time to develop a bio-weapon with the intent to wipe out all of humanity. The year after that in 2154, he completes the Xindi mission, destorying the superweapon. That year he also holds the Katra of Surak for a short time and is turned into a Klingon Hybrid though that didn't last. In 2155, he attended the opening ceremony of the Coalition of Planets though it wasn't until 2161, when he gave up command of the Enterprise that he signed the Federation Charter on behalf of Earth.

THIRD PERSON SAMPLE
Jonathan Archer had seen a lot in his life and this wasn't the first time travelling without his knowledge before hand but he had instantly known that Daniels wasn't to blame like the other times, such as his trip into the 31st century. That left the question as to who and how he had ended up here, though it was Earth and in the 21st century, so at least that was out of the question. "Mind telling me where I am beyond Earth 21st century and how I got here?" he asked curiously. "I am correct in assuming there isn't a way back as timetravel is always incredibly messy and if there was a way back you would have already done so, probably wiping my mind of this experience," he continued waiting for them to confirm his theory. "So the question still stands as to where and how I got here?" Hearing a bark, he turned around and grinned. "Porthos!" he exclaimed, bending down to pick up his dog and best friend. "Well obviously whatever brought me here had sense enough to bring Porthos too," he smiled happily. |
