PERSONALITY!  Lyric lyric lyric lyric lyric lyric lyric lyric lyric lyric lyric FIRST IMPRESSION: A quiet, shy girl who makes people wonder why exactly she is in Slytherin PERSONALITY: When someone thinks of Slytherin they think of someone evil, cunning, manipulative and a Death Eater except Kathryn is none of those things. In fact, when the sorting hat sings about the ambition of the Slytherin's, he might as well be talking about Kathryn. Kathryn always had ambitions in life and while most people's are to gain power in politics, to become the best scientist in the world, to invent something, she wanted to become the best artist that she could. This ambition has driven her just about her entire life - ever since she first went to an art show when she was four with her parents. Not only is Kathryn highly artistic and ambitious at it but she is a loyal friend to those few people who she calls friends. As someone the complete opposite of the majority of her house mates and rather shy at times she has a lot of trouble socialising with people and making friends with them. Shunned by her house mates for being who she is - a shy, halfblood who doesn't believe in blood purity and shunned by the majority of the school for being a Slytherin it is no surprise that she spends a lot of her time alone. Being a Slytherin from a light family, actually made Kathryn quite tolerable of a lot of things- not that she wasn't already. If she wanted to survive in Slytherin she had to learn how to put up with them and actually soon realised that not all of them were as bad as they were made out ot be- but some were definately worthy of the general reputation Slytherin had. She is accepting of who people are and realise that everyone is different but in the same way if they try hard enough they could get over the stupid stigma that surrounds everything. Enjoying time where she can be alone, Kathryn is a very peaceful person in that she loves having peace and quiet around her but will also not pick a fight with someone. If they choose to pick one with her she usually would just walk away not wanting to bother wasting breathe on an argument. If people wanted to argue then it is obvious that both of them would disagree on whatever the topic is so why bother? Kathryn can have a bit of a sharp tongue and temper at times, especially when she is in the middle of something and doesn't want to be interrupted. Also if she is pushed enough on a certain issue she is likely to snap at whoever it is. Despite not being overly clever she has a bit of a reputation as a know it all, mostly because she spends most of the time - at least when she isn't drawing or painting, with her head in a book, she follows the rules and is polite to teachers a lot of things that other students don't like that much. She can be rather jumpy at time, though nowhere near as bad as she was when she first started Hogwarts, living in fear that Slytherin's or others will attack her for who she is. In some ways she is still scared of this though he doubts it will happen it is always there in the back of her head. It isn't all that surprising that she has trouble trusting people when it comes down to it and has a bad habit of bottling up her emotions until it gets too much and she will end up snapping. Most of all she is just scared of being hurt. LIKES: reading, writing stories, peace and quiet, drawing, classical music, ancient runes, history DISLIKES: loud people, people vying for her attention, not being able to finish what she started, inter-house rivalry, Pureblood Elitism, arrogance and prejudices in general
BIOGRAPHY!  Lyric lyric lyric lyric lyric lyric lyric lyric lyric lyric lyric Kathryn Leanne Bundy was born on August 22 1978 to Scott Bundy and Marcelle Smith a muggleborn wizard and pureblood mother to much scandle among the Wizarding Community as the couple was not married at the time. Of course the two of them were engaged at the time but it didn't stop the scandal. Scott and Marcelle were married two months later in a small ceremony. Growing up as an only child to a young couple was hard on Kathryn at first but she slowly grew used to it. Also it didn't take long for her father to find a steady job which helped and when Kathryn was old enough her mother got a job of her own. While her parents at work, Kathryn spent a lot of time with her cousin Zacharias Smith. From a young age, Kathryn had always enjoyed more artistic past times from drawing to reading and writing, taking to all of them quickly and easily she much prefered doing these than to spending time with other children who she often felt uncomfortable around. Even though she spent time with her cousin she didn't have much interactions with other children until she started at Hogwarts so she never learnt how to relax and just play around them. When she was four, her mother took her to the local art gallery for a visit knowing of her passion for drawing even at such a young age and from then on, Kathryn has dreamed of becoming a world renowned artist. Her parents have encouraged this dream of hers and her other passions as well. She also took to writing though not as well as drawing and painting and occasionally played the flute and piano though she hated to practice them so that didn't last all that long. Upon arriving at Hogwarts, Kathryn was sorted into Slytherin which was a first in her family due to her ambition though it was a close call with Hufflepuff though. It was obvious from the minute of her sorting that she wasn't welcomed in Slytherin as she was completely different to the majority if not all of her year mates and they didn't try and hide their disdain from her. Truthfully she didn't mind though as it meant she wouldn't have to interact with people as that was something she was still quite uncomfortable with. Despite this, for the most of the first year and even up today she was terrified that her housemates would change their mind and attack her which lead to her spending most of her spare time within the library until right before curfew as well as being the first one up by a long way, a habit she hasn't managed to break even today. For her first two years at Hogwarts, Kathryn focused on her school and art work while ignoring the other people in her house and it didn't take them long to realise that they wouldn't get a raise out of her so they soon left her alone which she was glad for. In fact these two years were relatively uneventful despite having two different DADA teachers during the first two years, a trend that continued on for the rest of her school years. The only bad part about Hogwarts was that for the first three years she really had no one she could call a friend- oh there was Zach who was two years below her but he was her cousin so he didn't really count. Half way through her third year though she got to know a couple of Ravenclaw's in her year that she became friends with which she was grateful for, having seen them within the library a lot as well. When Potter came to Hogwarts in her third year, she ignored him, not that she had anything to do with him though at first she had stared with all the other students but that was the end of her peaceful years at Hogwarts, not that she realised them at first. Towards the end of that year with the incident with the Stone she realised that he wasn't a normal student and the same again in her fourth year though she was pretty scared she'd end up as a victim to the petrifications despite being a halfblood. It was also during this year that she realised she was attracted to girls when she developed a crush on a girl two years above her. Her fifth year was yet another year that was far from normal with the escape of Sirius Black which absolutely terrified her as well as the dementer's around the school, while she wasn't effected by them she tried to go outside as little a possible during that year though she still attended Hogsmeade with the rest of the school knowing she couldn't always be inside the cause. Kathryn ended up doing well on the majority of her OWL's though she did the best on her two electives - Arithmacy and Ancient Runes though History wasn't that far behind. Only failing potions, she wasn't all that worried given she had no interest in it and despite Snape's blatant favouritism of her house, she truly didn't want to continue to learn with him. Now going into her sixth year, she's hoping that nothing exciting or dangerous will happen wanting a normal year to focus on her studies.
