APPEARANCE DETAILED: Katherine is petite, she stands at 5'1 and weighs only 50kg making her on the lower side of average for her age though she isn't underweight. She has dark red hair that is almost brown, and skin typical of the British. She loves wearing jeans and t-shirts with her hair out, preferring to be comfortable rather than fashionable. From a young age she would be found with her head in a book and constantly asking questions of why things were the way they were. If she didn't know something she made sure she would find the answer to it no matter what, she hated being left in the dark. She can be a bit socially awkward at times - not completely but a touch, often saying things how it is instead of thinking about whether they might hurt people with what she says. She knows it could be a bad thing by now but she can't change how she is. The lesson that taught her this was the lesson that lost her, her childhood best friend unfortunately. Katherine is stubborn to the bone and hates to give up at anything or admit defeat. She hates appearing weak or wrong. Appearing not to know something is disastrous to her. She likes appearing to be cleverer than she actually weak and she thinks not knowing something would make her appear weak. Did she mention she hates appearing weak? Katherine is surprisingly loyal to those she considers friends and family, her mother first and foremost despite knowing she is adopted. She can't imagine life without her and would do anything for her. Katherine knows she is the only family they have and that won't change unless Katherine herself adopts sometime in the future.

Not wanting to date someone she didn't love, Susan looked into adoption as she did want a child. Finally she found a young mother who was wanting her child to be adopted. They exchanged no names, nothing, even today Susan doesn't know if she was a witch or not. She even left the naming of the child to Susan and therefore that was how Katherine Bones was born on Jan 28 2005. Katherine was a quiet but curious child from the get go, always looking and watching people around her. Even as a young child it was obvious she was destined to be a Ravenclaw at Hogwarts, displaying signs of magic early on in her life, given how she always had her head stuck in a book and asking Susan a range of questions. Home schooled, Katherine shot ahead with her work that Susan gave her, soaking it up as she went. She spent some time with children of her mother's friends as well as some of the local ones. While she didn't make a lot of friends she made a few of them. It wasn't until she started Hogwarts that she made her close friends. Of course it probably didn't help that when she was ten, she told her friend that she looked fat when she asked what she looked like in her new dress. As you can imagine she didn't take it well and that was the end of that friendship. When she arrived at Hogwarts it wasn't a surprise to find herself sorted into Ravenclaw, there really was no other house for her to be in. She was even a bit to an extreme for her house but she did fit in for the most part. She made some good friends and over all her years were relatively quiet. Unlike any of her friends she never developed a crush on anyone and found the whole sex thing revolting, instead she focused on her school work and doing the best that she could. She spent the majority of her time in the library or reading, not participating in any extra curricular activities finding that they detracted from her time studying. She didn't care much for making new friends and spending time with people a lot, not that she was against it her studying just came first and foremost to her. She enjoyed going home for the holiday's though, having missed her mother a lot during the term time. Susan really was the one person that Katherine truly cared about in her life. At the beginning of her fifth year she was offered the prefect position but after talking to her mother decided to turn the position down, not because she wasn't grateful for the offer, she was, but she knew she would have to spend a lot of time around people and less time studying and truthfully, the people bit made her twitch. Graduating from Hogwarts she was rewarded with a position in the Department of Mysteries as an Unspeakable where she worked on magical research focusing on where Magic comes from as well as in the time room. Only her mother knows what she does, to everyone else she just does private research instead of holding down an actual job.

OTHER FAMILY RELATIONSHIP: Susan and Katherine are incredibly close and mean the world to each other. BIGGEST SECRET: When she was seventeen one of her Muggle friends died in what claimed to be an accident. Katherine knows better. He had been over visiting and had found one of her potions...
